Our Newfy, Brutus, came into our lives in early August, 2001 from Gianfranco's Milano Kennel. We were impressed with the Gianfranco's professionalism, thoroughness and the love and care he provides his dogs. The kennel itself is immaculate and the dogs are in top shape. We would recommend Gianfranco and Milano Kennel without reservation.

As for Brutus - he is an extraordinary fellow. He has all the wonderful Newfie traits - gentle, kind-spirited, loving, mischevious, intelligent - the list goes on. He's also blessed with a high level of strength, stamina and endurance. I hike frequently in the mountains of the Northeast US, and he accompanies me everywhere. He is the first dog to ever climb all (there are 48) the New Hampshire 4,000' peaks in winter (he's climbed them all in summer, some many times), and was recognized by the Appalachian Mountain Club for his achievement. He's been such a great ambassador of good will in the mountains, and I think he loves to greet people as much as he loves to hike and climb. He's also a bit of a traveler, and has accompanied my wife and I on two month-long road trips to the West Coast.
